The state of Minn. is having a writing contest open to all 3-5th graders and we thought it may be fun to try and enter. There is a reward for having your essay chosen and it will be features in "Minnesota Cities" January magazine!
Here is the topic: CIties do lots of things to make our lives better. They provide services such as clean water, fire, libraries, park, police, senior services, sewers and garbage, streets, and sidewalks. If you were major of your town for a day, what would you do to make these services even better than they already are for all people in your city? Last Spring we were given baby cabbage plants and entered into a contest to see who could grow the biggest one, sadly mine died but Tyler's did not. Hope you made coleslaw! |
