Good Morning Super Students!
I am down at the "Donuts for Dad" helping serve your awesome dads for all they do. If you need something I will be in the cafeteria but please only come if it's of dire need, I will be back up around 7:30. Please turn in physical projects on top of under my table up front. You need to also take a picture of it and submit on schoology just so I can track who has what done :) While I am down there please pick up a Fact Monster and use your timer to begin. You won't have enough time but pause your timer for later and write your time remaining on top of your paper in case it deletes. Let's use our time wisely! Fact Monster are by the inbox...grab the right one and good luck!

Good Morning Super Students! Finally, the sun is up when I made it into the parking lot...not more driving or getting on the bus in the dark!
As a reminder March 28th is your music concert...only 4 more practices left. Monday - Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday - Makers Space
Good Morning Super Students! It was great to see most of you Thursday and Friday morning with your families. There were so many positive things to talk about and reflect on these past few months. But with that said, we can also continue to grow as people, which is what your goal sheet is for!
I will create an assignment in Schoology for you to hand in, but first I need to read it and write my goal on your iPad in notability before you hand in your PDF. Your families must come up with a goal by Thursday, I will then write a goal by Friday and you may hand in then. With baseball season just around the corner, pitchers and catchers reported last Thursday and position players on Sunday, they begin Spring Training today! Brian Dozier had a career year last year, so great that many thought he should have been American League MVP. One of the things that makes him so valuable is that he plays almost every game, no matter how sore or hurt he is. On average, from 2012-2016, how many games ("G" on the label below) does Brian play in per season? Was their an outlier in your data set? If so, outliers should always make us curious and ask questions. What question or assumption may you have about that outlier if you think there is one? Post your average and outlier in the comment section. Good Morning Super Students! Thursday has kind of crept up on us. I almost forgot that today is the last day of the week for all of you. It also marks the end of the book fair. You will need to go with your families if you'd still like to purchase books during your conferences tonight or tomorrow morning.
If you have not already chosen a sports team or player to look at some statistics, please do that this morning as we will start that today! Let's make today a good one! Good Morning Super Students! A few things to take care of this morning so we are prepared for math class!
#1 If you could go into your google drive math folder and create 4 new folders (plus button) and name them: PRIDE, PERSEVERANCE, CREATIVITY and IMPROVEMENT that would be helpful #2 We are going to dive into the world of statistics for a while and looking at measurments of central tendency (average). You need to think of your favorite pro sports team and find their website. Once you are there find the roster of players and stats. Could be MN FC United, MN Wild, MN Vikings, MN Twins, Olympic Gymnastics....anything. DEADLINE - FEBRUARY 16The Pleasantview Yearbook for the 2016-2017 yearbook is on sale now. Today is going to be an extremely busy day. We need to prepare our conference folders for this week, both our digital and hard copies for our families...plus practice with a partner and find evidence! Please use this morning and every minute you have today to work on your reflection! Get those typed and finished! Book checkout is also this morning which means we have even less time...turn those books in! Water bottles go on the white shelf...we will begin our experiment tomorrow, which means we need TONS water bottles and we have 4....we need 72. Good Morning Super Students! I am glad to be back and see all of you. We are going to be taking part 1 of our geometry quiz tomorrow, which means today we will do some review activities to help you think about nets and understanding how to decompose shapes. If you have questions please ask for clarification today!
We will be using this link, click here, for a Quizizz review. I left it open so that you can take it any time during math practice today but it does need to be completed by the end of the day. Here is the code: 367985 copy and paste it! Conferences are also next week beginning on Monday. I will be sending home reminder slips with you today that need to find their way to your families and get signed to verify that the time works for them! We will also need to wrap up our conferences folder and portfolios this week so that we are prepared. Good Morning Super students!
Unfortunately I am home with my kids sick. Please help the sub and show them all the things we do in our day. Today is a day 2, make sure books go on the cart for Amy. I also put together a prodigy assignment for math that you need to complete for tomorrow. When you get done you can keep playing or move on and practice math facts. Those of you doing the sand castle can do that instead. Everyone have a good day and I will see you tomorrow. |
