Good Morning Super Students! The week of Deep Portage us upon us! A lot to think about, be excited about and if you have any questions, please stop and ask me sometime today.
We are going to be putting together math videos the next few days with some of the concepts you have learned about this year! Starting thinking about what topic you may want: add/subtracting fractions, order of operations, area of triangles, nets and 3D figures, multistep world problem, creating a table and graphing, comparing and order fractions and decimals. If you have ROX reading for today, keep that until 7:45 and I will look at your iPad to draw for the drawstring bag this week. If you have brought in any socks, reminder that those go into the office but report the total to me for our class goal!

Good Morning Super Students! The day I have been waiting for all year...our opportunity to take the math test. Hopefully you were able to get a good nights rest and eat a little breakfast. if not, it looks like there are bananas and breakfast bars. Please take one if you'd like, grab a piece of gum or jolly rancher from the cart before testing this morning to be prepared.
Grab your own head phones or the ones you are borrowing from me by the sink! You also need to do that whole testing procedure: close safari tabs, close iPad apps and turn it all the way off....and make sure you are on Storm wifi when we turn it back on! Good luck to all of you. I am very proud of each and every one of you! You have allowed me to push you outside of your comfort zone and hopefully think about math in a very different way! Accept all 52 challenges you are faced with today and attack them We will be taking the Math Sampler this morning from 7:50 - 8:30. You will need to follow this link "Math Sampler website" to the address and sign in as a "guest". Practice using the tools as much as possible, especially the calculator.
Good Morning Super Students! Welcome back to an amazing week. I am especially excited because as your math teacher I know that we have a chance to show up this week and crush our math test :)
What a beautiful weekend to spend some time outside and enjoy the extra days off...love that the rain held off! Don't feel guilty being inside all day today. On the board, write one thing you will do this week to make someone else's week amazing. You don't need to be specific.... Good Morning Super Students! Welcome back and happy Thursday, Day #2 of our reading test. All of the things from yesterday need to be done again today with the addition of making sure you have 1-2 books to read until 10. See yesterdays blog!
If you have any money for either shaving Mr. Elliott's head or the egg hunt today, place it in the silver can by the lunch choice. If you need a raffle ticket, cut one off the papers on the bulletin board. Good luck again on todays test...keep crusin' it! Good Morning Super Students!
Oh man...so stoked we have this opportunity to crush a test this morning! Everything you need is with you. You have all prepared, practiced and worked hard all year for this! Now just relax, sit back and focus your way through the day. To be prepared by 8:00 you need to:
Todays schedule 8:00 - 10:00 - Reading Test 10:00 - 11:00 - Our room (book, research) 11:10 - 11:50 - Music 11:55 - 12:50 - Lunch 12:50 - 2:00 - Reading Good Morning Super Students! Below is a link to Quizizz.com that includes the web address and game code. If you would like to begin answering the questions this morning I think that would be fine....but you need to keep the window open until math then. We will try it!? You need to include your first name as the username and I turned off the timer. There is no bonus for faster answers, just correct ones! However, there is a timer for each question to ensure you don't stay on it to long. YOU NEED TO USE A NOTEBOOK AND CALCULATOR....no mental math! Remember we are working on our accuracy and making sure we feel good about what we select! We are also going to be using this resource to practice and review a few things with fractions.
Mrs. Nussbaum's Fraction Breakdown Good Morning Super Students!

Also, pictures can be turned into the inbox unless you have money...give that to me! Good Morning World Changers, Happy Friyay and kick cancer to the curb day! If you have $1, place it in the clear bin while you make your lunch choice. Also, see Ms. Jennison this morning to fold your letter and stuff in your envelope! Bring her your envelope and letter.
Thank you Mrs. E for coming and sharing your time and stories with us today! Pretty amazing how much good stuff there is out there on the internet, you just need to know where to search and not be distracted by sources that are not legit!
