Good Morning Super Students!
There are still a few of you (9 people) that are still testing in our room. I believe the other rooms have many more as well. We are going to do the same thing we did with math and reading and put all the testers in one room to finish at 9:30. You will have as much time as you may need to continue to do your best! I need these people to come see me at some point this morning: Kyler, Amanda, Dinah, Haley, Paige, Calie and Shaun! Also, Alex, Lydia, Brea, Ella, Owen, Jeff and Jack don't forget to go see Ms. Dalton in the gym at 7:30 for a meeting about field day. Please help remind each other and walk down together. Let's make today a good one!

Next Wednesday the 18th is our 4-5th grade field day at the middle school. If you would like to come watch I can't see any reason why you couldn't! It would be awesome to hear some cheers..fingers crossed for good weather!
Good Morning and Happy Diggin' Diversity Day! A day to celebrate and recognize all of our differences as people! Whether it be the color of our skin, the country we are from or simply the kind of breakfast cereal we prefer, we are all very unique and it is these differences that make life so great.
It's how we have those conversations though and respond to those differences that can either make it a positive experience or negative one. We will talk a little bit this morning about how you might want to ask a question or what to say when you meet someone new that has differences experiences than yourself. MCA science testing is here! We will test today from 9:30 - 10:40 and longer if we need it. The test should take only one day, maybe two for some one you. To be prepared you will need: HEADPHONES, PENCIL, SCRAP PAPER, and IPAD charged to 40%. The test has a lot of manipulation tasks, be prepared to move things around! Make Space 10:50 - 11:10 Amanda, Sam, Lydia, Brea 11:10 - 11:30 Brian, Keaton, Connor J, Shaun 11:30 - 11:50 Lily, Jasmine, Alex, Jack, Gage Happy Monday! What an incredible last few days of weather we have had. The cities hit 90+ degrees on Friday, setting a record for May 6th. I remember two years ago Melrose had a SNOW DAY on May 2. Simply crazy how different Minnesota weather can be.
We have really hit the home stretch as far as school goes. I believe the countdown is somewhere under 20, I honestly have not been keeping track. I can really tell since coming back from Deep Portage that you all have definitely taken the right steps to becoming middle schoolers. I have noticed a much higher sense of urgency within school (voice volume, responsibilities..etc) and matureness in all of you! Today I would like you to navigate to the Menards website, www.menards.com, for your morning work. We are going to be designing and constructing a home as part of math class! Step 1 You will need a place to store all of your ideas, pictures, files...etc. Please go to google drive and create a folder called "Dream Home Project". Step 2 Go to www.menards.com and find several flooring options you may want to use as part of your home. Hint *keep it simple, don't choose to many...Maybe choose 1 carpet color, 1 laminate or wood option and maybe 1 tile option. Take a screen shot of your choices (make sure to have price per square foot in your image!) Step 3 Upload your images to your google drive as you work Let's make today a good one! |
