Another school year has come to an end. I believe I speak for both myself and my kiddos when I say it's bittersweet. We are all ready to move on to the next stage in our lives. For them it means a new teacher, new expectations, and new classmates and for me it means another group of amazing kiddos that are excited and ready to learn. I wish all my kids and their families well this summer and I will see you all very soon. Please don't hesitate to email or stop by, I always enjoy helping former students with whatever it may be! You will all be missed!

Pay particular attention to the start and finish days as we are starting earlier and hopefully getting out earlier this next year. Also, there are 3 extra days added into the calendar. So if we don't have any school days next winter we will actually get out 3 days earlier, May 26! Summer is always a tough time battling with your student to continue reading. My suggestion is to pick a time of day like bedtime, to get them into a good routine. Rainy days, car rides and appointment waiting rooms are all good times to get those 15-20 mins of reading in. Our school once again wants to reward those students who consistently read over the summer. Your child brought home a reading calendar, write the number of minutes on the calendar and turn back into your 4th grade teacher next year for your reward! Remember, you're a fourth grader now so 200 mins is your goal, way less then our 400 min goal during the year:) |
