Good Morning Super Students!

Problem of the Day
Pretend that you live in Los Angeles and your family is planning a trip to the Niagara Falls. You will be driving. You have been placed in charge of finding how many miles you are from the Niagara Falls and how many days it will take for your family to get there and arrive back home, you may want to use a website similar to this: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/distances.html?n=1189
You can only drive 220 miles a day and you will be staying in Niagara Falls three nights, how many days long will your entire trip be?

Good Morning Super Students! All week 8 homework should find its way to the inbox as well as your library forms that we will take care of around 10:15.

Problem of the Day
Research the amount of floors on the Empire State Building. If every citizen of Allen, New York was in the Empire State Building and the citizens were equally divided between the floors, how many Allen citizens would be on each floor? Would any citizens be left over and told to wait outside?

Good Morning Super Students!

Do not hand in your pixel art, remember you just needed extra time to finish it. Put it in your math folder until we need to figure out all the calculations either today or tomorrow!

Climb theatre is today at 9:10, we will head down a little early for the bathroom. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember your library card forms that were sent home at conferences for tomorrow. That will make signing up go so much faster.

PROBLEM OF THE DAY
A little research on google this morning. I would like to know the difference in heights between the highest two peaks in the world. If you have time, also figure out the difference between the highest peak in the world and the lowest valley in the world...post the peak name and the difference in the comment section.

Good Morning Super Students, happy Monday and also the second last day of the week :) We have music this morning, remember to bring your iPad.

We are also going to take some time this morning to update our checkbooks, get paid, finish fines...etc and get moving on this whole class economy thing.

We may also have to have a convo about the math portfolios and how you need to get my information because the whole google drive sharing is being done half way. I will print math mens for you all this morning!  Let's make today awesome!

Good Morning Super Students! Happy Thursday and book check out day, another opportunity for us to go grab some good literature from the library. The expectation is that you are finding something to read during the week and at home for those 150 minutes! I am going to be checking what you are reading today and it needs to be a good fit book and something that will get you through next week. Looking ahead its MEA next week and we won't have book checkout until we come back which means its almost 2 weeks before next time you can get a book...get 2-3 today!

Today is also the first night of parent/student/teacher conferences. Please make sure you are on time tonight with your families as we have a very short amount of time. We will also be sharing time with Ms. Strack so we can talk about both math and reading, which means time is even more important than ever!

The book fair will also be open tonight through next Tuesday if you'd like to purchase come early!

If you have not handed in your homework this morning, remember it is due tomorrow morning! We also have the bookfair preview at 10:45 today. It will be about 15 minutes and if you'd like to bring money you can or a note to write on for your parents.

We also have a few conference items to take care of this morning to put into folders!

Good Morning Super Students!
I have a technology meeting again this morning until about 7:35-7:40. Please make sure to get the classroom and yourselves ready for the morning. That means: pencils sharpened, water bottled filled, books and supplies at your table, breakfast, lunch choice, bathroom, problem of the day being solved (google if you don't know what exponents are)...what am I forgetting?

We also have DARE this morning around 8:40, which means we have shorter switches and our music time is early at 9:10 rather than 9:50.

Good Morning Super Students! I would still like to go over the Problem of the Day from Friday..mainly because I need to run by Menards and I need to know if it's a good deal or not :)

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I continue to say it, Fall is my favorite season, mainly because you can be outside with a sweatshirt on, leaves are changing colors, hockey starts Thursday..etc

Post in the comment section one thing you did this weekend and whom you did it with.

I also want you to look at your classmates homework! They completely knocked it out of the park ! This is exactly what homework should look like. Awesome job you two!
