Good Morning Super Students! Please bring any items you have for the food shelf down to the table this morning. Also don't forget we have the school store at 10:50 today, you can grab any money you have at or after specialist. Problem of the Day What fraction of my gas tank was full this morning when I arrived at school? Good Morning Super Students! What an great way to start the week, with a +40 degree swing in temperature :) Today is book checkout, place your books on the book cart by the door. This is our last chance as a class to grab books before the holidays. Maybe check out 2-3 good books!
Please check the WAEL and Phy Ed helper blog posts below and set a reminder on your iPads to help you get where you need to go this week. Student council....I believe you have a meeting today to price all the store items at 8:00. Make sure to check in and out with your WIN teacher, please don't get up and just leave! FAMILIES: Tomorrow is the last day to bring items for the food shelf. The hallway by the office looks amazing but there is still tons of room for non-perisable items! I am still missing quite a few Deep Portage Health Forms and Payment Confirmation Forms. Please return those ASAP, as they were due last Friday. School store will be tomorrow from 10:50 - 11:30. We will have a chance to browse the store and purchase items during that time only. The student council is running everything this year and are only able to do it 1 day rather than 3. All the money raised goes towards the local Toys for Tots to purchase items for the holidays. Problem of the Day Valerie made 1 lb. of pizza dough. She cut the whole into 12 pieces and then placed it into packages. She sold one package and had 5/6 of the whole left. She sold another package and had 2/3 of the whole left. How much does the dough in each package weigh? How many packages were made? Explain.

MAKE SURE ITS CHARGED IF NOT, FIGURE OUT HOW YOU WILL HELP. We will be doing our store project today during math and in the afternoon. Good Morning World Changers! I am excited to hear your DARE essays this morning. I know you have been working hard the last week to complete them. To be prepared today you will need to make sure it is printed and ready to hand in after reading it aloud. If you'd like to practice again with a friend this morning that might not be a bad idea either (go in the media center).
Any Deep Portage money or forms please put in the box, along with any report card envelopes you brought back...both are due FRDIAY Good Morning Super Students! Happy Monday and welcome back. Mother nature has given us a few inches of snow and cold to deal with this week. Please be prepared for recess and waiting for buses by having proper clothing (hats, mittens, boots, snowpants..etc) IMPORTANT You need to print your DARE essay today! Log into your drive on one of the media center computers and print from there. Do that this morning! If you don't know how, ask a friend or share via drive with me and I will do on my prep but it has to be done by 9:10 for me to print. Anything after 9:10 I will not print. They were due last Thursday and we will be reading them aloud tomorrow during our last day of DARE. Book checkout is today, place book on the cart. Your reading logs are also due. Use your time wisely Parents, below I have included the Deep Portage Health Form and the Shirt/Payment/Chaperone letter. We ask that both of these are back by this Friday, December 16th. It is going to help us plan, order the things we need and hopefully let the chaperones know who is going soon enough that they can let their employers know. I have sent home papers copies twice with most students, unless they turned it in after conferences. If you want to fill out a digital copy, have your child download on their iPad, use notability to annotage and then email back to me, [email protected] Problem of the Day Asha, Barry, and Calli have change in their pockets. Families: It's been super cold out and doesn't look like we warm up now until March. Please help remind your kids to bring hats and gloves. There are so many kids coming to school unprepared to be outside for recess. Food shelf donations will also be accepted until the week before holiday break, I believe the note said the 19th but I may be wrong :) I will be stuffing report cards today and sending them home with your child on Monday. The school asks that you sign the envelope and return the next day. I included a grading rubric to help with any questions you may have about their math grade. Please email, call or text me with any questions. It was an awesome Tri 1, so many things to be proud of! SS: Last day for caroling permission forms, if you have them they need to be to Ms. Wiebe before 9:10 when she leaves with the other two classes. Today is also the last day she will accept late work. Problem of the Day Walter saw a display of towers made from boxes. The first tower used 1 box, the second tower used 8 boxes, the third used 27 boxes, the fourth used 64 boxes, and so on. Today is a day 5, which means your music permission slips are due to Ms. Wiebe TODAY as well as any late work you may have that would prevent you from going. Turn those slips into her. Today is our first day of Chinese, please show her what an amazing class we are. Make sure to introduce yourself because it will be the first time she meets you today. Overall the sub notes were ok, There were definitely some things that need to be addressed and we will go over that, report cards, math goals etc....later in the day.
