Good Morning World Changers!
Sorry the blog was not posted when you came in this morning, two sick kids + one dad = chaos! Thank you all for holding down the fort at school and helping make sure the classroom runs great today. You obviously know there is DARE and book checkout will be at 11:30. In math today, we will continue working on figuring out the GCF and LCM of a given set of numbers. I know Morgan took a picture of yesterdays notes on the board, smart thinking, you may need to ask her politely to email them to you :) You need to first complete the puzzles from yesterday. You can either glue it on a piece of construction paper OR using the PicCollage app, take a pictures of each individual piece and put it together on the app and save. Don't worry about week 10 homework, I will give it to you tomorrow and just make it due Friday this week...however, corrections were due today and late if turned in tomorrow. PROBLEM OF THE DAY Using the infographic below "Who actually votes in America" where it takes a look a little bit closer to who ACTUALLY votes in America. Because remember, just because you are 18 and a citizen, doesn't mean everyone actually shows up to the polls to cast their ballot. What was the difference between the percentage of men voters and the percentage of voters between the ages of 18-24? Remember, these percentages are based on people in those categories that are able to vote. The percentage, out of 100%, shows who voted in those categories, that number minus 100 would show who did not vote! Meaning...in Minnesota last election 75% of people voted that could. Leaving only 25% of people that chose not to vote, that highest in the country #minnesotarockedit
