Good Morning Super Duper Students! Today is national #unpluggedday...meaning a day to unplug yourself from social media and focus on building relationships face to face!
I am going to try and do my part, leaving my phone on my desk, no instagram, no twitter...no blogging (except for this)! Have an amazing FriYAY and let's work hard today to work together to make this classroom the best place in the world to be!

Good Morning Super Students! Happy Thursday....1 day closer to FRIYAY!
We do get to attend the K and 1st grade music concert this morning at 8:15, we will talk about some PATH expectations of attending a concert in public. I want to thank you all for doing a great job during our reading time yesterday. It was awesome to see everyone reading at the same time and actually DOING IT! Check out the photo in our feed! Good Morning World Changers! Well it looks like our voting was fairly consistent with that of all the other Minnesotans. Your job this morning is to look up, using the link from yesterday, which candidates won Minnesota's delegates. Also, who were the big winners from last night and which candidates maybe didn't win a lot but won a few states.
Today is also Dr. Seuss' Birthday and World Read-a-loud day. We will be reading with the school at 1:30 on the ramp! Let's make today awesome. Sorry for the late notice but hope some of you have time, results just started coming in anyway. Go here to view live updates and overall standings! http://www.cbsnews.com/elections/2016/primaries/
Good Morning and Holy Moly Happy Super Tuesday!
What an awesome time to be an American and part of a democracy. I know politics seem to be about the most boring thing on the face of the planet but once you begin to understand how it works and why it should be important to each one of us, it takes on a life of its own. This November as many of you know we will be voting on our next President of the United States, a rather important job! The canidates are still being sorted out which leads us to today, Super Tuesday. I would like you to visit this site (Click here) and find out which states are voting today and what the word caucus means...under "Words to know" link! I want to see everyone on their iPads reading this morning! I would then like you to "Meet the candidates" and read about them. When you feel confident about what you've read, I would like you to vote on the whiteboard for your Democratic and Republican choices. I know you may not know a ton about the candidates or why you are even voting for them, but please make it YOUR choice, not your friends :) Here is a quick link describing the fundamental differences between a Democrat and Republican Let's make today super! |
