Good Morning Super Students and Welcome Winter!
I truly love the first snowfall of the year, even if it means throwing on my winter coat, walking outside to frigid temperatures and having snow pelt my face! It's why I live in Minnesota :) It is going to be cold all this weekend and next. This definitely marks the beginning of winter and cold temperatures. Please come to school prepared! That means hats, gloves, a scarf maybe, boots, and a warm coat. You are expected to go outside each day and need to have proper attire. Make sure you have bookmarked a weather app on your iPad to help make those decision each day! If you have any math assignments on schoology, I added the scavenger hunt photos to that assignment, work on those this morning! Good Morning World Changers!
Today is a day 4, Phy Ed by ourselves today! If you have any permission forms, box tops or veterans day forms please put those in their correct spots. We also have book check out today, place those books on the breakfast table and the cart will be around right away. We will be playing a math review group game today in math but if you have any items that are late, get those in! Good Morning Super Students!
Today is a day 3, Phy Ed. Della, Brianna and Brooklyn make sure you head down to Makers Space in the Art room at 10:05. I still only have 5 permission forms for Wonder. The deadline is next Friday and any forms turned in after that will not be accepted. If you did not pick up your fundraiser items last night, those also need to be picked up today in the office sometime after school. And another reminder that we have book check out tomorrow! Many of you have set ambitious goals for the year and to stay on that path its important to check ourselves and our progress! Take a look at your journal and reflect on your progress so far and think about checking out 1-2 good fit books tomorrow. Good Morning Super Students!
Today is pumpkin catapult day! Della, Brooklyn, Brianna, Sabah, Katelyn you can head down at 10:05! If you have any permission slips for the movie please hand those in. If you have any money I will take that to the office for you! Todays Task: My wife was looking to buy her favorite drinks, Izzy's sparkling water! She would like to know which is the better buy, a pack of 4 of a pack of 16? Good Morning Super Students!
What an unreal break! It was amazing to see all of you and your families at conferences. I wish we could do that every week because it truly is amazing to talk with each of your families and to see you take ownership for your learning. Nice job with student led conferences! I asked all of you and your families to set a goal for the next few weeks. I did the same thing and thought I'd share mine with you. I am going to try and make a blog post EVERY day and TRY to make math engaging and challenging every day for all of you! Today's Task I was preparing for winter this weekend and set out to Menards to find some fire starts for our fire place. I was encountered with this problem...(see the picture above) Which box of fire starts should I buy and why? You may use your calculator for the computation. What things are you wondering? What things do you know? Good Morning Super Students!
So excited to have you back Emily...we missed you! We all can't wait to hear about your fabulous trip! If you have any pictures or stories we would love to hear or have your share them on SeeSaw (I'll try to approve :) Today is a day 4, gym! It is also book checkout this morning with Mrs. Bakke. If you have money that needs to stay in the envelopes and be brought with you to the gym. I appreciate everything you have done the last two days! The room has continued to stay clean and organized and I've seen so many people stop and help their classmates out! Continue to be kind...those are the things that people will remember about you! Todays Task: What if I decided to hand out a dozen eggs to every single person in Sauk Rapids. How many eggs would I need to gather from farmer Bakke's farm? Good Morning Super Students!
